"MOBAC" is a renewing perspective on mobility within the contemporary society and ideas on cultural infrastructure. MOBAC is a bus transformed into a mobile space for contemporary art. MOBAC uses an entirely alternative architectural form in showing contemporary art in a urban context and its several social districts.

"We aim with this project at linking art with the occasional spectator in the street. Art perception and participation in culture is reconsidered by the fact that the viewer must no longer move himself to a cultural centre, art centre or art temple. People are confronted in their daily environment with a recognizable object, namely a bus, but with the unexpected content of contemporary art. By this approach we also want to take part in the art-educational debate about the accessibility of cultural initiatives in a changing urban space". Sven Vanderstichelen / Project curator
